I've honestly thought he's been fantastic with Rocky. Legit cracked the hell up from the "Yano ganked Rocky" running gag, alone.

Knows the wrestlers, the moves, the stories...has a great rapport, is invested, works well with the talent.

Maybe I'm biased because I've actually detected improvement, he's SO MUCH improved after removing the ROH stank, but I think he's fit quite well.

Still, I imagine a guy like Excalibur, or Mauro, and I see what you mean.

I find Kevin Kelly and Rocky to be perfectly tolerable outside of Kelly repeating the same trivia facts over and over and over (especially noticeable because of the G1 schedule), but last night was terrible with them spending a huge part of the Okada/EVIL match trying to figure out if EVIL still had a chance or not to the point they kept correcting themselves (even when right) because they had no clue. How the fukk do you not know what the stakes are for your main event competitors for the penultimate block matches? Especially when you had a few days ahead of them to figure this shyt out? Atrocious.

So Shingo vs Goto at Budokan has some stakes Hirooki gonna get spoiled by Takagi gotta wait till the afternoon to watch Ishii/Shingo

Mox vs Juice gonna be either a draw or Juice avenging his loss, spoiling Mox and getting a US title shot. Even if Mox wins, the only dude he wins a tie breaker against is Naito.

Naito vs White the real semifinal, basically. One thing you gotta give Gedo is that every year the de facto semis are pretty much set in stone once the schedule is released, but he finds different ways to make you guess if that will indeed be the case or if other matches will have the same level of importance in the final day of a block

Nah, I think he’s been great since coming over as well. I just don’t like how he tries forcing the shyt people loved about Corino’s commentary into his. That annoying ass Destino call along with the Superkick call. Other than that I find him enjoyable.


Haven’t noticed but is Callis officially done with NJPW?
