This year - more than the ones I've watched in the past, I've come to appreciate the process of booking a G1.

There's no shortage of matches, but the work that must go into booking for maximum drama, setting up future storylines, not pissing off partner promotions etc. must be and Gedo and Jado both perform on shows too.

Organizing it is an art in itself,

He always does that because he generally just uses it to wear his opponent down so he can hit the Mutoh Moonsault.

It's one of my problems with his offense since he could easily win if he holds on when his opponent starts fading, but I thought it actually worked in the story here because of Okada's notorious resilience and the time limit, so SANADA couldn't be sure that there would be a stoppage before the time ran out and he had to go for the pinfall.

I have no idea how Gedo does it. The G1 and Royal Rumble got to be the most complex things to book.

I know coming from the West and growing up during the hyped WWF/WCW/ECW days. When loud crowds hype up the matches and make them more exciting in many ways.
