Lots of blu-ray i did the system sound check and the first 3 speakers are active the rears small ones sound dead. I play alot of games too xbox360, ps4... the usual. I might have to cop some bigger speakers and have them wired into the back of the system. I think maybe the small ones is just defective.

You have all 5 hooked up and ran a test-tone? The rears should make noise with the test tone. Maybe try swapping them with the fronts to make sure they do work. There should be level settings for the rear speakers as well, those levels could be down or just need adjusted. If you are watching blu-ray you should definitely have sound from rears. Also make sure the receiver's speaker setup is set to 3/2/1 (front/rear/sub), it may not know you have rear speakers connected.

Breh the first thing I watched after I hooked it up was Transformers Dark of the Moon...randomly moved it to that scene where Optimus was flying through the building...man that shyt was so loud it made water...I hope it was water :merchant::merchant::merchant:...come out my ears...my girl came downstairs like :what:

A few weeks later her folks came down and her mother was sitting right next to that second subwoofer...even with it barely on she was just looking like :beli::merchant::beli::merchant:...

Came back and she was just laying in the middle of the floor like :upsetfavre:

Unplugged it and haven't plugged it in since.

:deadmanny: I remember when I got my first sub setup back in the mid 90's, living with my mom at the time, she thought there was a war going on in my room watching Saving Private Ryan, glasses and dishes in the kitchen vibrating

I know that had to sound :whew: so good with 2 hooked up. My neighbors would straight move if I got a 2nd one.

My plan is to buy the last sub I'll ever need for home theater, problem is, it cost 10K. I do know a rep that can get me a pretty sweet deal on it though.......

My home theater is too small to justify a 7.1 setup. There aren't that many Blu-rays in 7. 1 so I can wait.

At 230lbs that thing is a mini-earthquake. I did some reading up on it, some people have reported it to crack the drywall in parts of their house, nothing sounds like it or produces bass like it. No speaker cabinet rattles or vibration either.

If you want to hear base. Watch Transformers when Ironhide rolls. That shyt will make your gut bubble. We should have a dedicated home theater thread. :patrice:
