When KD has these slow starts, he's cooked. He may get his scoring numbers up to some form of respectability in the end, but he's playing catch up the entire night and it results in him being negligent at everything else. KD was basically running point the last month or so and today? 3 dimes, 4 boards, net negative on the court. He can't get away with this against good teams. The third guy who can get busy when his number is called is either not on the team (LeVert) or isn't ready yet to assume that duty (Cam Thomas).
We’ll never know on Cam because the Nets don’t develop young talent under Nash. But yeah KD has to facilitate. He was forcing it.

A game we basically no-showed for the first 3 quarters, Kyrie steals it for us, and a terrible last minute throws the gift away.
Nash waited too long to put the guys out there that were giving a shyt, and then refused to try anyone else. I get having a "playoff rotation", but when you're getting nothing from 3-4 guys what's the harm in trying something else?
We better hope Time Lord doesn't come back, we'd be asking Seth to guard him, or be forced to put Seth on Jaylen. It's already rough with Horford getting whatever he wants.
Ben's defense is desperately needed too, someone to take Tatum for 20-30 minutes without needing doubles.
Go win Game 2 and we're in the driver's seat.

Kessler played the best defense on Tatum. Nash needs to give him at least 10min a game on Tatum. Also they gotta run more plays for Curry dude was cooking and then didn’t see the ball again for too long.
The difference was that all guard line up. Boston ate that alive.

I hope there’s a spirited film session happening today with guys getting called out. All of the good things that happened were wiped away by awful transition defense and even worse turnovers.
Obviously the size battle is a lost cause but that stretch in the 4th showed that a little fukkin fight on the glass goes a long way.

KD spent all last week smoking weed and chilling after they beat Cleveland. That’s the only only explanation I have for his sloppiness. They gotta tighten up if they wanna beat Boston. It can be done.
