Nah, there’s other ways to incentivise prize fighting spectacles vs stick and move, namely, don’t reward less fan friendly fighters with big fights?
There’s a sharp distinction between fighting and boxing, let the UFC have that fighting shyt, that’s for degenerates as far as I’m concerned. That’s what boxing is about, hit and don’t get hit.
As soon as you start playing with the machinations in that manner (fighter bonus etc for knockouts), you’ve changed what the sport is, think about it a bit more and you’ll realise this is highly detrimental 40 years from now.
