Anyone know the purses of the fighters for the two main fights?

Nah it's obvious sheeraz got serious talent. The type of combinations he was putting together with his height is something you rarely see. Especially with the speed and sharpness he had. He has very good punching technique for how lanky he is.

Exactly, I don't know what people are watching

Great card last night.

Morrell had some defensive lapses he needs to fix. In the pocket he would drop his guard or not get it back into position and would get hit with that left hook. Then when exiting the pocket stepping back on that KD should’ve been avoided. I give Khataev credit he had great punch 🥊 placement on his power punches. I felt like Khataev gassed late when morrell started going to the body. Wasn’t Morrells best performance but, he got the job done.

Puello vs Miatas, great fight, I felt those first 4 rounds were close the optics look bad cause Miatas is consistent on coming forward and he’s throwing punches to the head and body. I felt like he invested in the body earlier and the whole fight. Puello did well off the back foot he was countering well. I felt he figured out Miatas late he really dominated those championship rounds but Miatas was already in his groove and if you couldn’t hurt him he was going to continue to march forward and throw. Hell of a fight. Turki after already setting up dalton smith so we will see. Would love to see Russell run it back with Puello for his first defense.

Shakur vs Zepeda I feel Shakur I don’t know how but I be watching closely and he really don’t be getting hit like that which is amazing cause he be standing right there in front of his opponent. Unless he wants to and I felt like he wanted to prove a point tonight. Zepeda threw almost 1000 punches high volume he just wasn’t landing something that could hurt Shakur. Round 3 shakurs coach called it out stop letting him look good with the flurries even though they ain’t hitting. Round 9 shakurs coach said start pushing him forward and that’s really when the fight changed once he got off the ropes in the middle of the ring. He threw great combinations. Good game plan. Zepeda didn’t gas but the punches didn’t have steam late. I don’t know who beats Shakur at 135 you gotta knock him out cold one punch type shyt, you not out boxing him.

Berlanga vs Hamzah don’t really need to say much. Berlanga got smoked. Wonder who they match up Hamzah with next.

so my summary of the card

Turki was 2 for 2 this weekend with his NY events - the sparring club event which was some of the rawest shyt ive seen in boxing in a min and this card

tsutsumi didn't fukk around and got rid of the jobber in 2 rounds with mean body shots...one thing a japanese fighter is gonna do is light your body up...im glad body punching is making its back into boxing...kill the body and the head goes man

morrell vs khataev was one of those hard 175 fights man..i mentioned before you can't sleep on khataev...bro hits too hard and again you see the separation between a legit 168er and a legit 175er..morrell took and gave back everything from benavidez and even knocked him down...this fight it took one right hand that khataev stepped into put morrell down and have him on queer street..khataev got his respect early and really punished morrell with counters, an authoritative jab, overhands, working on the ropes..morrell had his moments like inflicting a cut and going to dude's body..but outside of that khataev walked right through him for most of the fight until the 10th round where morrell stunned him and had him shaky baby..khataev big flaw is his cardio but he looked like he managed it well..it looked like khataev would and should have got the upset but morrell got a gift split decision...he did not win that fight at all...if morrell knows whats good for him, he should go back to 168....he didnt look good against hot rod, he looked ok against benavidez, and he looked struggle and flawed against khataev..im sure khataev will find another place on a turki card in the future...too bad this wasn't 12 rounds..but man was this is a hell of a scrap..175 put on this year

matias vs puello was a gotdamn war of wills and pressure..matias from round 1 started working with puello effectively fighting off his backfoot..the big mistake puello maide was fighting matias off the ropes..there were too many rounds where once matias got going with his offense that puello was getting worked and the rounds were getting banked...even looked at times that puello would crumble from the pressure and volume that matias was putting on him..puello at least was able to inflict a cut on matias to give him something to think about...but matias got tired in the last 2-3 rounds of the fights and was fading fast..puello was starting to light him up and it looked like matias was going to keel over from exhaustion...unfortunately for puello he couldn't put together the shot(s) to at least get a knockdown. had he got the knockdown he probably would have retained this belt. but matias banked too many of the early and mid rounds which led to him getting the nod and the belt..there was no robbery in this...115-113 you can see for either guy or the draw..but hellacious fight this was..turki didnt waste no time in getting his mando dalton smith in the ring and pretty much saying he was going to fight on the night of champions card in november lol..i mean damn let dude catch his breath first...140 needed a shot in the arm like this

shakur vs zepeda was a fight in the making for a long time and it did not disappoint..the runner and "tom and jerry" comments clearly got to shakur so he made a point to alter the way he usually...he stood in the pocket and on the ropes to trade with zepeda and did a great of being defensively responsible...that southpaw philly shell was beautiful to watch to see him picking off zepeda's shots..and boy did zepeda throw some shots..he even caught shakur one time and had him do the hucklebuck briefly on the ropes..shakur definitely had more success when he took the fight to zepeda in the middle of he ring..shakur def had moments where he lit zepeda with combinations but i felt he should have used that stab jab to the body more..i think it would have took more wind out of zepeda's sails and made him more hesitant through...i also noticed shakur was turning over his punches like he should have..we all know the history of his hand issues but slapping your punches is not going to dissuade a fighter like zepeda to not move forward..as the rounds went on the defense that shakur displayed had zepeda missing more and more...i do think in the final rounds shakur should have really stepped on the gas but he chose to move a little bit more..i guess he was like in his head "i gave y'all 10 rounds of heat im gonna do what i do"...135 needed an excellent fight between notable fighters and this was that...i would say the best you can give zepeda was 116-112 for shakur which is how i scored but the 118-110 was fine too..but that win did not come easy...shakur truly got touched for the first time and admitted as much...zepeda at least lost his zero went down fighting...shakur himself said zepeda was a problem for any lightweight..both guys elevated themselves...dope fight

sheeraz vs berlanga - i mentioned this was a litmus test for both guys..sheeraz needed a performance to get back his rep after the adames draw which most thought he lost, me included...berlanga needed to beat a notable fighter period esp with the hype he generates and the trash talk..this ended up being a coming out party for sheeraz who boxed him up and them dropped him viciously twice in round 4...how berlanga got up from the second knockdown is beyond me..the ref should have called it there...a minute in the corner was not enough time esp for someone who did not know how to clinch or clear his head...sheeraz raced out of the corner and landed a combination that had sweat flying from berlanga's head..some would say he got soul clapped lol..berlanga's gloves touched the canvas and the ref immediately waved it of...star making performance in america..sheeraz is punching punching at 168...mentioned that the social media comments got to him and it looks like he will be a future for canelo in the future...as for berlanga its going to be interesting where he lands as he is a promotional free agent. TR washed their hands of him and Matchroom got the remaining bit of u$efulne$$...there's always going to PBC and maybe get a fight with plant...thats pretty much the only "big" fight left for him..outside of that he will have to rebuild a lot..don't think he has the drive or maturity seeing as he already got paid...how he moves is up to him..but ending a fire card with a brutal KO..beautiful shyt

great fukking night of boxing...we needed this...well worth the 59.99 i spent and it ended before midnight too..turki needs to make sure the matchmakers involved are the ones that do his US events in the future...and hopefully he gets that sparring club platform off the ground with tightening up on certain things like a ref and waivers as a battle ground to get on his cards..to prevent him from getting sued stupid of course lol..can't wait for next week
