Watching the full fight now. Man Berlanga was getting his ass WHOOPED in round 4 before the knockdowns.
I hope hamzah has a fight before canelo or whoever etc..he can't be having a year layoff.

Agree with all this.Great card last night.
Morrell had some defensive lapses he needs to fix. In the pocket he would drop his guard or not get it back into position and would get hit with that left hook. Then when exiting the pocket stepping back on that KD should’ve been avoided. I give Khataev credit he had great punchplacement on his power punches. I felt like Khataev gassed late when morrell started going to the body. Wasn’t Morrells best performance but, he got the job done.
Puello vs Miatas, great fight, I felt those first 4 rounds were close the optics look bad cause Miatas is consistent on coming forward and he’s throwing punches to the head and body. I felt like he invested in the body earlier and the whole fight. Puello did well off the back foot he was countering well. I felt he figured out Miatas late he really dominated those championship rounds but Miatas was already in his groove and if you couldn’t hurt him he was going to continue to march forward and throw. Hell of a fight. Turki after already setting up dalton smith so we will see. Would love to see Russell run it back with Puello for his first defense.
Shakur vs Zepeda I feel Shakur I don’t know how but I be watching closely and he really don’t be getting hit like that which is amazing cause he be standing right there in front of his opponent. Unless he wants to and I felt like he wanted to prove a point tonight. Zepeda threw almost 1000 punches high volume he just wasn’t landing something that could hurt Shakur. Round 3 shakurs coach called it out stop letting him look good with the flurries even though they ain’t hitting. Round 9 shakurs coach said start pushing him forward and that’s really when the fight changed once he got off the ropes in the middle of the ring. He threw great combinations. Good game plan. Zepeda didn’t gas but the punches didn’t have steam late. I don’t know who beats Shakur at 135 you gotta knock him out cold one punch type shyt, you not out boxing him.
Berlanga vs Hamzah don’t really need to say much. Berlanga got smoked. Wonder who they match up Hamzah with next.
I only just watched the Morrell fight, but by the way that the commentators and the fans were carrying on like it was a robbery? Khataev was great, but it wasn't cohesive in any sense. Do people not see shots land? Im not the fukking X-men as far as 40-20 vision, but when you look at Morrell's punches landed clearly and cleanly, to Khataev's punches landed (more blocked than not), it was definitely outweighed to Morrell. That part was just obvious.

Reminds me of the old days when HBO would show three main event for a PPV the following week.
I felt Morrell was lucky to get that decision. I thought he lost. Never seemed like he had control of the fight.
So fukking glad Puello lost with his boring ass self. All that nikka had to do was stick and move, and he was only able to do that once Matias got tired late in the fight. nikka kept getting lit up on them ropes.
Berlanga so trash he can't even bum rush a shaky puncher. He just got picked apart from the outside until it was over. Not as bad as Tszyu getting stopped by Muralive but close enough. At least the Aussie was trying.
Serrano and Taylor both need to retire
Netflix had the wrong fights on the live card. Casuals needed to see the Cameron and Sugar Neeks fights. The shyt we got stuck with on the main card was a lil underwhelming.

If I was Morrell, there's no shame in going back down to 168, he has not looked that good at all at 175. He was so much better at 168. And he looks like he can still make the weight as well

I was rooting for Tarver since he was basically begging for these kinds of opportunities on his YT channel for years
But now that he got the opportunity he been kind of trash
Lampley been trash since his return too imo. Forget which fight it was but he was off by a round talking about the 2nd round as if it was the first and neither Tarver or Coppinger said shyt until the graphic showed up for the 3rd round and Lampley corrected himself

I didn't know much about Khataev but I can tell he's on that Flintstone vitamin treatment lol. Dude is bigger than Yarde (who could be on something himself) & Yarde carries a lot of muscle mass. And I think he's Russian so you already know lol
