I never said the way it was counted was deceptive, I only stated that the number dropping below 8% is deceptive because it gives a false impression that the unemployment situation is actually improving in any significant way. Most of the paltry number of jobs being counted are for part-time work. That is not what is needed for things to actually get better.

In all the years I've followed politics I've never seen official government statistics questioned the way they are under Obama. It's like these people don't understand that there are BILLIONS of dollars at stake with these numbers, and lying about them would be a fraud of epic proprotions. They are essentially accusing the Admin of a massive financial fraud.

Very simple reason the rate fell. There was a revision on the jobs numbers from the previous 3 months AND a large revision for the numbers from last year. The job numbers reported previously were worse than what was actually happening on the ground.

One has to wonder if this week has really been a fail for Obama. I was one of the main people calling him a pu55y after the debate, but when you think about it, most of the media stated that he came across as more truthful, he actually gained independent support, his favorability numbers didn't drop, he had a slight uptick in donations, he has forced Willard to backpedal on some of his positions, now has more ammo to use in future ads and debates, and now the unemployment rate has dipped to 7.8%. Is this just luck, or is dude really that smart and calculating?
