I wonder if it's because he's so brazen and really knows enough about the law to make sure that he himself always keeps his hands clean while having his lackies do his dirty work. He actually does crazy illegal stuff in front of the world, then tells the world he didn't do it. And then when it comes time for charges to be filed, everybody around him takes the fall for him and you never have anything that you can conclusively prove in a court of law that leads back to him.

I think that's why it's taking Garland and the justice department so long. They are searching desperately for a way to get him. But as stupid as Trump is, he's smart when it comes to committing crimes. He's like the mob bosses of old that could never be caught because there was never any actual proof that could be used in court.
