It's clear that women seem to settle a lot. They just want a family and that whole ideal American life so they get with men they know they don't really want but they're willing to settle for and regardless of how much that man does, that woman will not be happy because he is not who she really wanted.

Then of course there's financial reasons, then men and women most of time are just really not compatible at all, they don't have the same interests, the same long-term goals, plus men and women don't communicate the same and interpret things differently etc..

Any marriage that last is an amazing thing especially if the couple is still happy with each other.

I see your reasons in here. But I'm trying to understand...if women are settling...but women are also initiating divorce...what does that say about men? Meaning...does that imply that men are comfortable sticking out a relationship more than women because they don't initiate divorce at the same rate?

Men know that Marriage is hell and are somewhat prepare for what's to come. That's why it's so hard for us to agree to get married.
Women dream of a fairytale wedding and marriage. America teaches our women that the deserve all their desires. Endless love and happiness no matter what horrible decision they make.


Marriage is so stupid nowadays. The only marriages I see working are my brothers in Louisiana. Where the girls come from the country with both parents. Where the man is a leader and alpha male type. And the woman is down to earth, submissive, realistic, non-material, non-ratchet. The type that put family over careers. You fools can't see the type to marry anyway.
