To the vets, thanks for weighing in.
In addition to the other social barriers we face, our communities generally don't have access to solid career counseling when we are young men. To explain what options are open to us. Not from a recruiter, in this case, but a neutral 3rd party who can answer questions and doesn't have a financial stake in the decision.
I said the same thing in the thread about for-profit colleges.
Full options, where to enlist based on interests, aptitude, rotc option, etc.etc
Young men don't have knowledgeable people in their circles or communities to give them information that's relevant to what they want to do with their lives, so they can weigh their options.
