College track kids won't go. Sorority broads, beer pong and football games >>>>>>>> basic training. Some might if they want the military to pay for their education.

What you're left with are high school kids that may not want to attend a 4 year university. Some kids do trades....so they probably go down that path.

There will always be some kids willing to join the military but many more that just aren't cut out for it.

I was 145 lbs and under 10% bf in high school. Definitely in shape but had plenty of financial aid and college acceptance letters. There are A LOT of kids like I was but honestly the best prospects are going to school.

Wait until Universal Healthcare and free college get passed.

Then the military recruits will go down to Z-E-R-O

I remember in middle school we had to do the fitness test where we had to run a mile in 15 mins, run the 100 meters, do pull ups, push ups, sit up and the shuttle run.

Yep and I remember when the military came to high school and had us all do that shyt too. Then the recruiters would call us asking if we wanted to join.

But anyone with kids or nieces and nephews in Elementary school or high school can tell you these kids are washed. Man these young kids are fat as hell now a days. shyt is crazy how out of shape they are.

1) Do they have separate stats for enlistment vs officer recruitment goals? If they're short on officers then that would be a good opportunity for some folks. The Navy is short on officers.
