I spent about 1 hour looking for an unbiased article on this tax bill cause of most of the news these days is biased AF.. from what I read it takes tax brackets from 7 to 4 and lowers them from everyone making from $0 dollars to $999,999..

It takes certain deductions away but then increases some like the child tax crefit going from $1000 to $1,600..

One thing it does for the rich is it eliminates the estate tax.. among other rich people shyt like lowering corporate taxes. Short term people will see more money on their checks (including the coli). Long term their will be a budget deficit that will need to be made up in cuts to social services.

Also the $694 tax hit for the ACA will be gone

I don't like it, but Americans have been praising the European system for a long time. Now, we have corporate and personal tax rates that are more inline with European economies.


Also, as CPA with some tax experience in both personal and corporate, I believe the rules and regulations of Taxation are way too complicated and take a lifetime of experience to really understand in their in entirety.

If the Tax code is made simpler, but we pay more, then everyone, including corporations, will actually spend less time and money in tax preparation, which is certainly a good thing. We might be better on net.

The bill was created in meetings with Trump, Repubs and other CEOs and rich repub donors. They did not follow the legal process to create the bill. Then, they rush it for a vote. When some repubs opposed the bill, they got bribed (literally) for their vote. Murkowski opposed it, and an amendment was added to help her sister's business and her donors, then she said yes.

SOme of the amendments could not be typed and would cause confusion. So, the REpubs handwrote them on the tax bill. You couldn't even make out what was writen in there. Just some scribbles

Then, they added several other amendments for other rich donors that got pissed because they were not getting as sweet a deal as others


Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security are toasts.


To add, they said the tax cuts they are giving to the rich would help the rich tremendously, and help them create jobs. They had a poll and a townhall with wall street execs, and they were all like "that money going in our pockets and our shareholders' "
