Sometimes coaches and teams aren't the best fit. He made a lot of mistakes in the playoffs. He's been outcoached clearly. The mistake he made was overstaying his welcome in LA. He should have resigned a few years ago. But he's still one of the best coaches out there and you knew he was gonna get a job. His work in Boston pre ring and post ring speak for itself. I think playing with a big man like Embiid and a talent like Simmons(shooting flaws aside)

His winning percentage in Boston pre ring was 41%

Might be the worst contract in NBA...it's one thing the overpay for a player..but to overpay a mediocre player is different... I wonder what deals are out there for him... Maybe Sacramento...he seems like a Kings kinda guy lol
They've already checked the box on their roster for overpaid wing player (Harrison Barnes).
It's funny though, because I was thinking if there's one team dumb enough to trade for Horford my guess would be the Kings :pachaha:

Doc can't coach big men, there was no legit big in orlando days, no legit bigs till KG joined boston. Couldn't do shyt with bigs after KG's injury. Clipper deandre and blake were getting beat up by other team bigs like zach randolph. This year they only had one big.

So Brand thinks he's the perfect coach for Embiid?

Doc is a good defensive coach and is good at out of timeout plays his presence is also good at managing teams with big egos.

Simmons will not disrespect Doc the way he disrespected Brett Brown.

His offense is really reliant on his best players creating and he doesn’t develop players that’s true. His championship can’t be taken away from him. He’s an above average coach regardless of playoff failures.

If this nikka isn’t confident in his shooting he still ain’t gon shoot. Don’t matter who’s coaching. It starts with him actually improving. He’s now hitting that vet stage where it’s gonna hard to fix those habits too:shaq2:

Could be a good fresh start for everyone involved. At this point I'm only interested in seeing what roster moves Philly does (desperatly need to go back to a roster with multiple three point threats) and how Embiid approaches the season.

Glad they didn't hire Pringles
