I actually like this for both sides...

You wanted an upgrade from Brown, you got it. For Doc, you want a chance to prove you're not the one trick pony, 1x success story you had in Boston, here's your shot. I think his cache will bring a motivation to Philly they didn’t have at the end under Brown...

None of this changes that he's still overrated and struggles adjusting and closing in big moments, but hey, people can grow and Philly is the people who will pay for it in the end if he's the same Doc he always been. But I like it for both sides...
