I think Doc takes you from being a great first round team to an avg second round team, with this current roster. He definitely isnt a great HC, but he's better than Brett at the things Brett was supposed to be good at

No way Doc gets outcoached by Fraud Stevens, 76ers beating the Celtics if both teams are healthy next season.

No matter how disappointing you think Brad is, Doc has had one of the deepest rosters (not most talented) we've seen and got crushed by a high pick and roll spammed over the course of 7 games. Brad is a top 6-8 coach that just cant figure out how to take his team into the top tier. Doc might be outside top 10, but falls into pretty amazing rosters

I don't understand the approach to hiring coaches. We just watched Doc Rivers coach a team with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George that blew a 3-1 lead. What makes anyone think he's the answer to lead Embiid and Simmons to a championship? Glenn Anton Rivers has blown 3-1 leads with Tracy McGrady, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, and now Kawhi Leonard and PG13. There's no reason there's not anyone else in the world whether that's NBA, college, high school, Spain, Euroleague who we can give an opportunity to.

Sixers biggest issue in coaching was accountability, I am not sure if Doc is that guy considering he let Kawhi do what he wants and Beverly and PG make a fool out of that team whenever. Not that many coaches out there though who are as experienced or respected as Doc I guess.


I will never understand giving coaches 5 year contracts though lol, especially in this era where most of them always get let go before their contracts end

I hate Elton Brand
It's not that I think Rivers is a bad coach. Just sick of these retread ass old ass coaches in the NBA. Can anyone articulate what Doc offensive philosophy is? shyt what's his defensive philosophy? He's not even a "players coach". The narrative that Rivers is some elite coach seems to be based off the Celtics title despite him underachieving with two versions of the clippers. . hopefully he proves me wrong and he can figure out Joel and Ben but I don't see anything about him that suggest he has some magic strategy.

I think hes great at player development and that’s about it.
