Right now as we speak a small city named Albany, GA has one of the highest rates of this virus (higher than NYC) and I can only imagine the people in that town probably have the same silly mindset as people posting in this thread.

Manhattan is much more crowded than San Francisco.

NYC as a whole including the four boroughs is not that much crowded than San Francisco.

In terms of community spread those individuals who work/shop in Manhattan spread it to the outer boroughs.
There is no where in America that is denser than Manhattan, for a virus this contagious it was a disaster waiting to happen

virus can spread easily in many ways. Density is just one part.

I posted an article a few post above. Albany, GA and New Orleans have a higher per cap rate of the virus than NYC.

LA and San Fran have lower rates of the virus than many other locations nowhere near as dense and crowded as the two of them.


Density is one of the many ways a disease can spread but it isn’t the main reason and that type of thinking is dangerous for people who live in small cities, towns etc.

I can literally walk into a grocery store in a small town and demolish the town with an outbreak of the virus. Towns tend to have much less amenities than large urban cities so the fact that 75% of the town uses the same grocery store can make virus spread in that town just as fast as a major city.

The Albany, GA metro area has a death rate or 27.3 per 100K compared to 12.3 per 100K for the NYC metro area.

the New Orleans metro area has a death rate of 19 per 100K.


Neither New Orleans or Albany, GA are “dense, crammed, and crowded” at all.

I’m not sure what you’re telling me here.

I really wasn’t trying to get into a back and forth , all I was saying is

for the same amount of money it’s costing to barely tread water in NY
