Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
This is a lie. Every single NYC borough but Staten Island is more dense than San Francisco. Even Queens is at like 21,000 people per square smile compared to SI’s 17000 to 18,000.

Manhattan is 66,000 people per square smile. Brooklyn and the Bronx have double the density of San Francisco.

I didn’t mention anything about density in that post. Read better! I said outside of Manhattan people in SF live on top eachother comparably to New Yorkers outside of Manhattan.

There are large portions of land in Queens, Staten Island have lots of communities that are more residential than SF areas.

I was gonna mention, the luxury high rises are not as crowded per unit as the buildings of any working class neighborhood.

I bet there are 6 story buildings in the West Bronx with as many people living in them as luxury high rises in Manhattan. Fordham, BX is a more dense neighborhood than all but 2 neighborhoods in Manhattan IIRC.

Manhattan is the most dense place in America. Manhattan also has the highest usage of subways in America.

Manhattan is also more dense than the Bronx no matter how you slice it.

if density is the main reason for the virus than Manhattan should be the leader of it in NyC but it has the second to least cases.

SF and LA are also one of the top dense cities in America and they have it lesser rate of the virus that other locations not as dense.

By saying things such “Cali prepared for It better” or “Manhattan has high rises” you’re just proving my point that the spread or the virus isn’t just based exclusively on density.

There are more factors to it. That’s all I’m saying.

Of course NO ain’t been right since Katrina
let’s face it those w limited to no resources anywhere are in imminent danger.

I can tell you personally being in California I’d take my shyt to the south before the east coast

Lol y’all keep proving my point. You clearly wrote “no resources” and that’s the point that I’m getting to. Resources, class, and intervention play an equal role to the virus than just simply being in a dense location.

I never said that it was all about density. I think household size might be a bigger factor.

Here on Long Island, all the Central American neighborhoods have a high rate of cases despite mostly suburban layout. So I think household size is part of it.

I gave up pages ago, mafukkas aint gone listen or read. They are now breaking it down to individual streets and areas. Not understanding how a virus spreads and that they are basing shyt off people basically having 0 interaction with anyone. Thats why neighborhoods and city limits should be ignored in an argument like this because they are only visible on a map. If someone in manhatten has the virus and works in Newark, thats still within a bubble of being spread around.

the articles, which if by now you should realize no one actually reads any sources on here or has any critical thinking either, go over exactly how and why they consider LA, San Jose and San Francisco areas more densely populated.

mafukkas will argue with actual math from writers from businessinsider and huffpost, what else can we do at this point :manny: let em have the argument :manny:

Thank you! Those Hispanic areas in La and SF are crowded as hell also with Mexican and Hispanic families having multiple children and family members living in tiny homes.

Yet La and SF from a city point do not have as much severe cases of the virus. That destroys the exclusive density argument.

The reason why the virus is spreading is mostly based on numerous things outside of density.

even tho NYC is the most dense city in America the city made lots of mistakes in preparing for the virus.

Keeping subways open and allowing them to crowd while limiting service and De Blasio downplaying the virus at first are more of the factor than just “density”.

but I get it tho. Most people do not have broad thinking skills when it comes to complex situations like this. It’s easy to sit down and say “density is the reason” than to actually sit down and study the spread of the virus and who it’s hurting.

exactly bruh! The reason people are blaming “density” is because they see NYC on top of it and don’t have critical think N.Y. skills. Outside of NYC the cities being hurt the most by the virus has little to no correlation.

Atlanta has a higher rate of the virus than Boston.

Boston is pretty much built the exact same way as NYC. People living on top eachother and a very subway dependent city.

Everyone drives in Atlanta

NYC
NYC is a city. If you want you can compare the Bay to the NYC Metro which means we adding cities like Newark, Jersey City, New Haven, Yonkers to the mix...

Greenwich and Stamford are within 45 mins of Grand Central. Hoboken is 15 from the WTC. The reach is big.

LMAO, more juelzing like your boy. Manhattan becoming less dense because of rich people leaving is something you're pulling out of your ass because you have no idea how impactful it was to the overall density reduction of Manhattan. But if you were even trying to be honest instead of blindly juelzing you could just look at the numbers and realize it would take over 70% of Manhattan's population fleeing to drop its population density down to the level of San Francisco. Do you think 70% of Manhattan's residents fled? :gucci:
Even if that much did flee, it's also irrelevant because by time the order went into effect, the damage was already done!

I'll pose the same question to you as I did to tweedle dumb: post the land area and population of the "area" you're trying to state is more densely populated than NYC.:unimpressed:
How can I “juelz” when I’m just telling you what it looked like. You’re so grounded in your position that you can’t even see the ridiculousness of the two of going back and forth about something that doesn’t even really matter.

Furthermore, fleeing New York is what somebody else said, not me. Please read. I was just pointing out the contradictory and peripheral arguments that are muddying the conversation.

When people can’t clearly articulate a point, they resort to insults. Exhibit 1....

Now you're a psychologist trying to gauge my "anger". Classic. :heh:

Of course you "don't care" now that your whole point was proven wrong. Also classic. :heh:
1. I didn’t have a “whole point.” My responses were observations about your argument with another poster

2. I didn’t gauge anger. I said it reads like your angry because of all the insults. Only psychologists can think someone sounds angry now? Reach. You could just be poor at communicating without insulting people. Who knows, who cares.

You’re creating some imaginary argument with me because I criticized your ability to communicate a point. I never agreed or disagreed with either one of you. So what are you even talking about?

NYC being more dense than those CA “areas”.

That’s literally the only thing I was talking about. You’ve juelzed your self into a tizzy trying bring up other shyt. Don’t need your pointers on how to make that argument, especially when you make factually incorrect statements and try to ignore it after the fact.

So what about the class and intervention part.

sounds like you care about living fancy as long as you can , and really aren’t taking self preservation into consideration .

On top of there’s clearly a more aggressive version of the virus out there

what extra precautions have been taken since reaching such a higher than avg death toll ? :jbhmm:

..I’ll wait
