He's a South American Socialist bishop, as with most of them, they all lean left and are all focused on changing world issues. The fact that he is from there is such a dramatic shift from previous conservative European Popes, its not even funny.Only religious leader I respect out of all of them is Pope Francis. Atleast he discusses poverty, climate change, and making the world a better place. I'm sure there's more, but until I research them I stand by my statement.
He doesn't have much leeway with a lot of his positions, so I can respect that he toes the line fairly regularly.
