Watched the debut episode after school the next day. I remember being like :dwillhuh: because it replaced ECW.

I also remember being like :gucci: because this was the beginning of Michael Cole's heel turn. I was wondering what I missed. :dead:

Looking back, the way they treated Daniel Bryan was horrible. Dude wrestled all around the world for years, made a name for himself as one of the best, then he goes to WWE and Miz is treating him like his little brother. :dahell:

Man the way Vince killed ECW again was disrespectful as fukk, man just came out on stage and said "two weeks from now, ECW will end" :mjlol:.

But yeah Bryan should've already been on the Main Roster, not stuck doing that garbage game show shyt.

The Divas season was funny as hell cause Cole was shytting on the show every week :mjlol:.

I honestly was confused on the NXT Redemption stuff, it wasn't even a competition anymore, just an upscale FCW with no titles.

It's weird because they were actually starting to remember ECW existed before they got rid of it again. I remember Christian and Shelton Benjamin wanting to steal the show at TLC because they felt like ECW was being overlooked. Then they had that whole ECW Homecoming tournament which was honestly a cool concept, but instead of using it to make the ECW Championship look valuable, they had Ezekiel Jackson win. :scust:

I stopped watching NXT during the Divas season. I remember it had that Kevin Rudolf song ("You Make the Rain Fall") as the theme and the color scheme was purple. :russ:

As someone who never watched ROH, in retrospect, this was the best way to introduce Daniel Bryan. I heard how good he was, so I was intrigued by what he could do in WWE. I remember his matches against Jericho and Batistia were both great. It also got him to showcase his personality. More importantly, it gave him a ready-made feud with the Miz when he came back at SummerSlam that year. Without NXT, I think he would have been an another generic good wrestler. Better yet, a Shelton Benjamin type career at best. I'm glad it worked out for him
