You can tell shoes are dude's #1 priority... Hobby is never supposed to be your #1 priority though... This dude is sleeping on a prison bed with fisher price bedsheets in a storage closet...

SINY!!
I know someone around my way....he was able to flip his entire collection and buy into a McDonalds franchise. Then over the course of years he was able to recoup some of the pairs once he started seeing real money.

Although dudes living conditions.....eh. Not gonna lie, at one point I had about 200+ pairs. A lot of those purchases I regreted, sold some of them (broke even on some, very small profit on others) or gave them to kids around my way who I know were dead broke and their parents couldnt afford them.

Ive gotten my collection down to the 80-90 pairs I am currently at. I started collecting seriously 12 years ago, and in that time priorities change.

Also, the couple of the times Ive moved, it was always a headache worrying about whether the moving company was gonna steal, the couple of times I did it myself it was a hassle. Plus I dont know how he can live in that small space. Even at 80-90 pairs and living in a nice sized house.....I feel like I dont have enough space sometimes

Homie lives in one of those apartment buildings in nyc with shytty heating during the winter. So he takes a pan to bang on the heaters in hopes the super can hear it to turn the heat on. It's all good tho, he is known as the sneaker guy in his neighborhood :jawalrus:

:comeon: No one on here has hobbies? Living some boring ass life. shyt there's people that collect stamps and all kinds of other dumb shyt. It's not like dude had 85k and said "lemme spend this on shoes" it took him years to get to that point. His living situation though :yeshrug: who knows maybe breh is working on something to get ahead, maybe he can do something with shoes.
:stopitslime:

If dude invested 85K on sneakers he should not have to worry about turning on the lights in the kitchen to let the roaches scatter before he can grab something to drink the middle of the night.

Plus if you really wanted to make your argument make sense all those sneakers would be deadstock condition, wrapped airtight to try to prevent yellowing, and boxes in mint condition in a room with controlled temps. I am still a sneaker head too, but let's be fukking serious here LOL

well i have about 12 untouched unworn DS and i guarantee i can get at least $2000 from them.

for example. I had 3 shoes that i bought and eventually sold. the combined retail was $850.

i sold them for a total of $1475. thats a profit of $625.

Some of these nikkas dont know. I bought those pewter foams when they dropped for $230. After I bought them, I didnt know if I wanted them anymore so I just put them on ice. Now two years later Im tryna sell them. A day after putting them on ebay I got an offer locally for $250. Was just about to sell them for $250, til I woke up this morning and got an offer for $350

This is why Im selling some of my shyt now. I wont be buying a McDonalds franchise but Im using the money to fund other ventures and vacations and whatnot.

If he would have put half of that money aside and made a modest 3% gain per year since 1999...chances are the interest earned will net you a nice vacation each year and be able to keep your sneakers.

I can't deal with these threads, I am out of here. @She Agree That I'm Looney and @88m3 what are your thoughts on this?
