85% of black content on Tik Tok/Insta is self aggrandizement and putting other black people down

I deleted TikTok.
The vast majority of Black content on that app is Black Men thirsting for white and non-black women and putting down Black Women or Black Women thirsting for white and non-black Men and putting down Black Men. And there's so much anti-black content on there from others it just made me not even want to venture further.

Other than that its just forced and unfunny c00nish 30 seconds or less comedy sketches with just dark humor that I don't even know who finds them funny. It's lowkey embarassing and just sad. I just don't get the need to put down black people foe the validation of white folks and non-black people...they already looking at them as a joke anyways and their behavior on that app reinforces it.

I noticed that too. A lot of black related content on social media including Youtube is either feminine dudes shytting on Black Women, redpill/bluepill/MGTOW, c00n shyt or Celebrity Gossip.

The Best Black Content is either Black travelers Discovering Other Cultures such as Ace Live, Czech in Effect, Blackman da Traveler, Wode Maya and I am Marwa; Black Economics like increasing credit scores, investments/stocks/assets; Skincare routines for Black Skin; Black History Channels. Pretty much anything that's providing value.

I'm thinking of doing that as well. Social media gives people a lot of power they don't have in real life.

Most of my feed is "Day in the life" type of content, tutorials, DIY home improvement, real estate, life hacks, product reviews, and black people in tech giving game on the industry. If I ever get a video that I don't like, I just hit that "Not Interested" button. Won't ever see that shyt (or anything like it) again.

What reason to I have to be on a social media app with people under 25 anyways?

I get what you're saying, but, you are the target demo. The majority of TikTok users are millennials and gen-z. Its even common to see older people on the app.


Also, totally off topic, but...if you ever accidentally lose a TikTok, you're watching (maybe you touched part of the screen and it refreshed while you're in the middle of watching a TikTok, for example), and you really wanted to see that video, you can do the following: Profile>>>Settings and Privacy>>>And under "Content & Display" you'll see a "Watch History" selection that allows you to see every TikTok you've watched over the past seven days. Just FYI!
