Honestly? Kofi MAY have still gotten his run because of how fan-service heavy Mania Season was that year, but it’s 50/50 because it’d mean not having Rollins (who was white hot until the Corbin feud) get his. They would’ve had to make a choice, and Rollins would’ve likely edged Kofi out.

Lashley would’ve gotten his regardless because he’d become too dominant and too over to deny with MVP and The Hurt Business.

But yeah, E wouldn’t be champion over Roman until after the (possible) feud with The Rock ended

Even when WWE had two world titles from 2002-2013, how many black champions were there? Two, if I'm remembering correctly (Booker T and Mark Henry). Only now are they starting to change that.

I have to say, it's crazy to think that for years, The Rock was the closest we ever came to having a black WWE Champion. In the last two years, we've had three, and two of them were crowned this year.
