California passed a law in 1994 preventing civil trials/settlements from proceeding before the conclusion of the criminal investigations and eventual trials. That's false. My never wanted to settle. The insurance company covering his world tour found a loophole in the contract that allowed them to settle it on his behalf without asking him. They settled over a year after the lawsuit was filed. The legal documents that prove this leaked out to the smokingun.com a long time ago.

His reputation is fine.. if anything he’s protected by us more than anything, despite him being weird asab and had questionable behavior. I don’t think anyone else could get away with being that..strange. Regardless, MJ is MJ. I don’t believe in all the worship and fanatical fanfare, but he’s Legendary!
