This works because the hardy's brought their brand of backyard crazy characters from their teen promotion..
to a very polished abyss rosemary and crazy Steve team.
Plus it leads to some direction of change and showcases these two excellent teams.
While also elevating both teams, when many wrote three thirds off in matt/jeff/abyss, and a come uppance for two thirds in rosemary and Steve.
As Steve has been excellent since he first came around even saddled by a pisspoor menagerie when he debuted.
He was a shining star then and finally everyone should have recognized week to week.
Yet should be a fan after the bromans/decay hardcore thumbtack extravaganza.
Since the wwf was given the ball from the boom of Mr t and rocky.
It just made it so their inferior child like version of the work.
Took precedence over the much better nwa and the other territories. If not for that boost and all their admin based gamesmanship in the territory era. Their brand of fukkeru that usually made no sense typically. Was allowed to rule and eventually when the attitude era came.
If not for perception of hogun/rocky/mr t.

They would have eventually never lasted as time went on because they really lacked long term quality.
We were just lucky to get steamboat/macho.
Which pushed wwf further more than it wanted to ever go in quality. Plus has been living by that ramp up while really never giving us to much as well done since then.

Even when inheriting, better principals it always neutered and worsened the quality of those principals.
Where luck and evil admin practices are the only thing really saving wwf as a company from absolute ruin.
So, yeah fukkery is needed but it has to have some semblance of continuity to work. Of which, tna consistently actually does better thwn wwf and solidly tna makes better stuff and we can compare over the past which was better.
As I have way more tna memories of higher quality stuff in the past decade than wwf easy.
Wwf is the reason wrasslin has bullshyt non-sensical fukkery and if not for rocket.
The industry would not have had to be shackled by incorporating their low quality brand of garbage into the mix to survive.
