Man, I really wish those poor people on the planes would have fought back. If I'm on a hijacked plane, they're going to have to kill me before they do anything cause I'm gonna attack. Not just going to sit there and wait to die.
I think they didn’t realise it was going to be a suicide mission

Bro, 9/11 was so culture shifting and devastating. There was legit life pre and post 9/11.

I think people fail to realize just how much the world changed after it. Imperialism struck back, Radicalization became a ubiquitous online thing, fear of ones (brown) neighbors hit an all time high, patriotism and casual racism peaked, Patriot Act, and it was the first time America TRULY got touched. At least Pearl Harbor was mostly military targets.
shyt was NUTS for at least a decade. Random "bomb threats" called into malls, movies and schools, terror alerts, militarization of the police skyrocketed because of the injection into the defense budgets...

For real, SO much changed after this event. I think its kind of lost on Gen Z and younger Millennials.

Why are you trying to humanize that motherfukking demon? :childplease:

Stop it...collateral damage was expected by him I'm positive.
nikka...

Nobody could have predicted 20 years of middle east warfare with less than 10k dead soldiers. shyt, suicide killed more service members than the wars.... Bin Laden expected the middle east to rise up and force the US into the situation Russia is currently facing.

The war was indefinitely sustainable... it was just politics than led to the end.

I'm not trying to "humanise" him...im pointing out that he failed his strategic goals and got the Muslim world deebo'd by the US military.

bin laden did have a sick ass short term pla n to inflict damage...

and it was executed pretty good...

but I bet if he would have known how many muslim bodies were gonna drop in iraq/afghanistan afterwards...

he might have had second thoughts...

plus this shyt just strengthened the U.S. military with increased budget, increased intelligence and operational leeway, and currently the largest combat experienced personnel in the world

:francis:
His whole plan was the long game, this was bait to bring them over to the Middle East, he wanted a war of attrition.

I refuse to ever stay in a building on the upper floors because of 9/11.

Could you imagine having to decide tonfukking jump or burn to death?
:mjcry:

Or the people who couldn't find a way to the windows...the pitch darkness and the massive amount of smoke and heat.

I was in South Jersey in 6th grade relatively unaffected but 9/11 has made me think about certain things daily..m

Mainly about life and my own death.

i would've grabbed the wall and slid down.
let the friction of my body against the building slow me down.
might bust my ankles but it's better than jumping.

give up, brehs...

nah, i ain't no superhero.
pretty much any adult man could have slid down the tower to safety.
part of me can understand the impulse to jump because the situation
was a little crazy. however...if he had stopped and taken a deep breath
of all them jet fuel fumes he would have realized that his salvation was
the very thing he was trying to escape. 911 operators aint shyt for not
suggesting this to the countless people they wasted time on the phone
with talking about "stay calm, we coming for you, pee on your clothes..."

fukking clowns.

you buggin. from the tippy top of both buildings (double the odds) down to the bottom are what are essentially
the same thing as the slide poles in playgrounds. look at a pic of the towers. they were notorious
for the terrible views inside the building because of this architectural feature. but they could have
been a lifeline for so many people.

imagine dozens of red blooded americans of all colors grabbing their arms and legs around the
very structure they are escaping...damn that would have been good tv!

but nah, errybody derped and said splat.

smh.

and i wasn't gonna say anymore about the whole clothes into ropes thing
but this could actually save someone's life so i'm gonna speak my piece.
as a proponent of the "slide and live" option, i would take off my shirt,
bite down on both sleeves as i slid down and use it as a parachute to help
with slowing down.

smh at me having to explain this basic shyt to you smooth brained buffoons.

slide down the side of the building.
so many lives could have been saved.

I done gave you the blueprint.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Westerners in general tended to believe they weren't really part of the world, that they're somewhat "above" all of it and that terrorist attacks only happened in poor countries. Blissful ignorance and arrogance. This was a reminder that they are very much part of the world and what is done there can have consequences here.
I believe they said when Bush got the intelligence briefing that Bin Laden was determined to attack the US, he just nonchalantly waved it off. I think I've told this story before, but I'll just tell it again: It was early 2001, and I was a high school freshman in history class, and we were talking about the early 20th century and how they started building the skyscrapers. My teacher noted one story where a plane had crashed into the Empire State Building and while everyone in class mused about it, I decided to blurt out, "Can you imagine if that happened today? Like if it happened to the World Trade Center or another building like that?" My teacher then brought up the bombings in 93 and the conversation eventually subsided. When 9/11 happened later that year, I recollected what I had said and hoped no one else remembered it. It was an odd and eerie coincidence. It just amazes me that thought came to my young mind, yet it apparently didn't come into any high-ranking US officials' minds (unless it did, and they wanted it to happen :mjpls:)

Who was it?
IDK breh. A project for a new American century.
IDK. They said we need a Pearl harbor like event to spur America into perpetual war. For business.
IDK breh. They listed 7-8 countries to target.
Iraq, Iran, Syria etc were all on that list...
IDK breh but we've been in undeclared war since.
But idk a few trillion dollars went missing and is still UNFOUND and UNACCOUNTED for. Those records were at the Pentagon.
Internal memoes show that higher ups were aware of the attack for a year prior.
FOIA requests revealed that they had Atta and other confirmed participants under surveillance. They knew and watched them prepare.
That's some of what I know. These higher ups became members of the Council on Foreign Relations, Bilderberg, and other PACs.
*Edit and the Bush 2 Administration. His daddy friends. People forget that before he was president Bush 1 was director of the CIA

But IDK breh...

There was mos def some dark ops fukkery going on in the middle east during his office where the Arabs had to say "fukk it them Americans need this work:ehh: "
