Google is supposed to be having an event on Tuesday to introduce new Nexus & Chromecast devices. I wonder if these sales this month for the Nexus Player means Google will introduce a new Nexus Player at the event.
I believe it can cast like the Chromecast but it also does more. I'd expect a 4K version to be announced soon.

I have a ChromeCast in the living room, a Fire Stick in my son's room. I would probably get this and put it in the living room and the ChromeCast in my bedroom.
