Don’t know her situation… staying at home alone at the age of 9 isn’t ideal in 2025, but way better than leaving her in the car….. I wonder if the kid had a disability
i was perfectly fine with a key after school, and sometimes even before. my mom taught me how to cook and pack lunches. i wouldve loved a day off to watch tv lol. but i dont know their situation either, so i gotta read more but theres gotta be some reason she couldnt stay home with the doors locked? a number on post-it, 911, that stuff. but if her mom was willing to leave her in a hot car i doubt she cared enough to teach her this stuff in the first place

therefore i say give this hoe the chair!!

true story, if you survive this you actually wake up with some of the most intense and vivid dreams of your life. It’s like you enter an ethereal plane that exists parallel to our reality, and overlapping is a better word than parallel

All of that (and this) is happening at the same time

Also she’s 9 years old so unless she was drugged or sleeping she would know to get out of the car

I don't wanna hear that dumb, bytch ass excuse of "maybe she forgot she was in there. It happens."

Stop that goofy ass shít and start holding ppl accountable.

It's a child, not a bag of items from Target
If it was truly an accident she has been punished enough

this story was probably boosted by workers rights and affordable childcare advocates only for the responses to ignore that and jump straight to asking why we aren’t just leaving kids at home by themselves which leads to exponentially more deaths and injuries each year.

It should be mandatory felony if a kid dies from being left in hot car. These situations keep happening because police pick and choose which situation to change and others not.

Don't give me the excuse of "well you don't have kids" or it can easily happen as people get charged all the time because of someone else's negligence.

It's essentially no different than leaving a gun attended around a child.
If some idiot gives you that excuse, let's hope THEY don't have kids.

The Truth
RIP…

Texas… 3rd one this year from Texas apparently too. Can’t front, I can see it now.. idk if you can even call it stupid, it’s like a complete lack of thinking or care or something.

how the fukk is it safer to leave the kid in a car by themselves, than just leave them at home :mindblown:

what kind of idiot would consciously choose to do this?
What if stupid laws that required her to not leave a kid alone at home happened

Same exact outcome could happen of the mother went into a store and had a medical emergency or was abducted
Anything can happen we need to recognize when our responses are based in the feeling that comes along with a cortisol spike whenever we see something that outrages us

Mother carried that child for 9 months and raised her for 9 years. This is tragic, there’s a learning lesson for everyone involved. But if this was truly an accident, and the toxicology reports show that the child wasn’t placed in the car in a drugged state, then vilifying the mother is rather heartless

this is what they call people that think outside the box

Or have the audacity to do their own thinking rather than simply adopting the narrative

If they called you a sheep for not thinking on your own, it will land harder because it’s based in response to your comment - signifying the character you presented yourself as here (I see you as better than this @boogers )

But you calling him a weirdo is only highlighting how dismissive of thought you are

Everything he said was reasonable, plausible - worthy of considering and perhaps even necessary to look into
