if you dont listen to mainstream music, Spotify is still ass IMO

Especially if you're a heavy Soundcloud head

Yeah, if you listen to mainly Simpsonswave and fentanyl-rap, that stuff may not be on Spotify, lol. I don't really fukk with Soundcloud besides Rinse.fm and NTS mixes.

For those who have both or used to have both, what are some things that make Apple Music better than Spotify Premium? I been using Spotify Premium for 7 years now, would take a lot for me to switch.

I’ve had both and actually like Spotify better.

Has more non music options and better playlists IMO ... audiobooks, comedy, etc.

Only thing that Apple has on Spotify is Beats 1 which you don’t need a subscription to listen to.

Music selection tbh. I tried Spotify before Apple Music existed and felt their selection was limited. The only streaming service I fukked with was Songza and Google took that from me :mjcry:

Like others here, I don’t listen to a lot mainstream pop/hip-Hop music and find that Apple Music will has a bigger chance of having merengue, soca, reggae, etc, Music That I’m looking for.

Plus it’s like $5 with student discount and the convenience of having it go right into my iTunes is perfect for me.

Decided to check it out. I noticed a few things that Spotify don't have, like The Chronic and Dre's most recent album, some Soul Jazz Records releases, Gang Related Soundtrack, Tha Relativez second album. The design of the app isn't as good and intuitive as Spotify's, but I'll give it a chance.

EDIT: One thing I noticed is that you can't scrobble straming tracks of Apple Music to last.fm. Probably not a big deal for most people, but I still use last.fm like its 2008 so ita a big deal to me lol

just Siri integration for me. i use spotify for almost everything but when i'm feeling lazy just tell siri to play a track. and exclusives but there aren't as many of those anymore.

Have they fixed their sound quality? Apple's music app (therefore Apple Music and locally stored music) sound quality sucks and the volume is tuned too low, I don't get a rich sound playing music from either of these and have to turn my stereo up incredibly high to get decent volume. I don't have any of the volume limit settings on, this shyt (along with simply haven't been on Spotify much longer) is what keeps me from fukking with Apple Music.

It’s considerably more work. This ain’t 2007. Why would anyone spend the countless hours tracking and storing a bootleg music collection when you can just pay $10 a month to have a service that has essentially already done that.
I've never tried any streaming app before

Just download bunch of Boosie/Jeezy/Z-Ro/Moneybagg tapes and I'm good

Do you, man. Myself, I listened to about 2,200 different artists and 3,600 different albums in 2017. Downloading all that would be a full-time job lol
C/s. I've discovered so many new artists, as well as given artists I'd otherwise overlook/not fukk with a try, in the past 3 years. No way in hell I would have downloaded all that, and I wouldn't have even known about them to download their music without the ease of discovery available via streaming apps.
