I always wondered

Who got the beats?

Like was it they made a bunch of them and the artist pick what they wanted

Or they was made for the artist while they was there

That fascination of how it was done back there with labels have me in a choke hold

Probably a combo of both

Sometimes beats are tailor made for a specific artist and they take them or they don’t like them and pass on them and someone else takes them

Like when PAC got out and on Death Row, a lot of beats that producers were working on for other albums went to him for his All Eyez On Me album

One more thing

If you had the beat first but let it sit

And someone else got it and it became a hit

How salty would you get

Especially if it was a in house producer

I would be furious :wow:

Even tho it was my fault πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ

Maybe for a second but as long as more beats that sound like potential hit records are being made, I ain’t mad :russ:
