No. 80s rap sound dated

you got future & young thug in your avi, talembout '80s rap sounds dated.

:snoop:

The oldest song I can listen to is feelin it by Jay Z

exactly what '90s rap are you talking about?

theres no logic in stuff like this, seeing that rap is way too broad to categorize under one umbrella. especially in the '90s.

this is no different than the opinions of people who dont listen to rap at all, when they say stuff like "it all sounds the same".

and that goes for all eras. not just '90s.

Also, the song you posted was a really horrible example cause that song sounds like some typical 90s shyt :yeshrug:

This song out in 95 has some of the same rap energy that exists now.

You never heard OB4CL? Doesn't sound dated AT all.

And that's just a few NY rap shyt, the 90s south had energy that's being bitten & copied today from rappers all over!

good track choice breh

Obviously that isn't the case for the whole rap game and there are exceptions, but the mainstream sound right now is all trap. Some trap is good, but it lacks soul and is all about getting someone to "crank."

Smh... lol...
