you got future & young thug in your avi, talembout '80s rap sounds dated.

:snoop:

exactly what '90s rap are you talking about?

theres no logic in stuff like this, seeing that rap is way too broad to categorize under one umbrella. especially in the '90s.

this is no different than the opinions of people who dont listen to rap at all, when they say stuff like "it all sounds the same".

and that goes for all eras. not just '90s.
Outkast don't sound dated tho

This was recorded between 91-94

This came out in 94

Didn't know that "walk up to your house" on The End was a remake.

Looking at modern day music and hip-hop, it's pretty clear that DJ Paul and Juicy are the most influential musicians of the last 30 days.

The rhythm style, the stylized 808 drum sounds, the hypontic feel of the music.... They really invented everything. What they created took over the entire country.

I think it just depends on what your hip hop taste calls for. My person taste doesn't change with the times. It's an unexplained feeling that I require from my hip hop at all times.

flow and the need to be some overindulging, versatile musical genius, is kind of clouding peoples perception up....

There were some dusty beats back then (which I still appreciate but understand if a youngin doesn't). But a lot of stuff back then was very polished.

Hitmen, Erick Sermon, Rockwilder, Timbaland, Swizz, Organized Noize, Mannie Fresh, all put out some beats that still sound fresh today.

fukk no! Current rap has no soul.

Hearing those raw, gritty drums and the vinyl crackle >>>:banderas:

Need an Update for this track :whew:

The 90s was untouchable. It's sacreligious to say otherwise. It was to raw and organic then, now most, not all, just appear to be mimicking everyone else....overall.

I wouldn't say dated, but things are definitely different now and not in a good way. There is little to no skill involved in lyrics, producing or style whatsoever...it's been completely corporatized.

Hip Hop Died in 2003 IMO every year since the early 2000s has been trash as far as a list of great albums coming out

and 1995 is arguably the best year in Hip Hop ever
