I remember it was '88-'90, I was in 7th/8th grade and the turtle necks with the chains over top were real big, kids used to throw their bags at Mecedez benz' to break off the emblem and where it as a necklace....The Africa Leather badges were going around (I was not one of those white people who partook in those, but it's funny, the ones I did know who wore them became huge hippies to this day).

The overalls/ cross color, Skidz, Z Cavarichi, pegged jeans.

By '90/91, 90% of those things were gone, replaced by Starter jackets with the matching hat, Timbs, baggy jeans, etc.

92-95= Karl Kani, hockey jerseys, Champion hoodies, Cross colors, Tommy Hill,Nautica, Polo RL, Polo Sport etc

Late 90s is commercialized hip hop brands like FUBU (never bought) Akademics, Haley Hanson, Ecko, Masscino, Iceberg etc...eventually leading up to the 2000s with throwbacks, rockawear, sean john etc.
