Was at the dealer the other day because they got their first one in and I wanted to go see it… bruh :wow:

Dealer is playing games and messing with allocations, so the people who paid the most over MSRP are getting theirs first. Dude whose car arrived yesterday paid $100k over sticker; which is insane to me.

Dealer is telling me I should have mine around February but I’m thinking it’ll probably be like April.

Nah people are still going to the dealer and offering to pay $50k above MSRP to get on the list, so it's free money if I flipped it the day I got it. Plus it's not that simple, as I'm trying to build rapport so I can get on the list for the GT3RS when it comes out. They'd basically tell me to kick rocks if I canceled my order. I'm not even stressing it at this point, I drive my Bronco as a daily and the 992S gets brought out the garage on the weekends when I want to cruise.

It takes a lot of money to get on the list at these dealerships for these limited production cars, but once you're on it, you can basically print money because they'll sell for more than you paid 90% of the time as long as you keep the miles low and take care of it.

STILL waiting on my damn car. The boat that sank with all the cars on it pushed back my order because all of the people who had their GT3’s on there got screwed, so Porsche basically had to push everyone else back so they could get those people their replacement cars ASAP.

Dealer is now telling me September for my allocation but who even knows at this point.

I was originally on the waiting list for one but they kept pushing the release back so I got my current 992 instead. My cousin has one and he likes it WAY better than the Model S he had before. They didn't hold their value too well before the pandemic but I think right now they're doing okay. I feel like they'll make improvements to the battery tech in the coming years and make tweaks that will make it even better, but they're also going to face increased competition in that market over the next 5 years. But a Porsche is a Porsche. There's nothing like it.

Off topic but the current 992 body is so nice. The Carrera S :whew:

It's just different bruh. I've owned most of the Germany luxury car brands at one point or another and Porsche is in a class of its own. I typically only drive my 992 S on the weekends and I swear the handling and responsiveness shocks me every time. It's like driving a go-kart that has the build quality of a tank.

Damn nice. Yeah, It's by far my favorite high performance car out there and I'm a BMW head. 992 Carrera S is just the perfect balance to me, I know there's more powerful models of it. The options are endless lol Agate Grey, Arctic Grey, Aventurine Green or Chalk with Carrera Classic 20-21's or RS Spyder 20-21's, Sport Exhaust as the must options and the rest nicely equipped is a one day wish :wow:

I really wanted Chalk for my 992 S, but I got a great deal on a Gentian Blue and just went with that. With the GT3 I got to spec it, so I went with Chalk this time.

The "freeze date" for my build was actually today, so it's being sent for production next week. I should have the car the week after Labor Day so I'll post pics here once I get it. Ended up adding the carbon fiber roof and mirrors because they seem to be in demand.
