The 'landscape' is exactly the same as you see on dry land. Matter of fact, Death Valley and the Sahara were both covered by oceans.

The biggest differences are the amount of pressure at 'bottom level' and lack of sunlight. The pressure is what makes it more difficult to explore than space.

SOHH ICEY MONOPOLY
Scientists have dead ass said that cephalopods (octopus/squid/nautilus) are unlike any other creatures on the planet and probably evolved from an organism that was on a meteor that landed in the ocean and evolved independently from the rest of earths creatures. These jokers have no bones, poisonous, intelligent enough to solve complex puzzles and escape from traps, and have the most advanced form of camouflage in the world down to the cellular level. And we just recently learned about Giant Squid and Colossal Squid, there might be other even more dangerous and intelligent Cthulu types out there. Take this creepypasta for example, Organism 46B
