You're right.
They couldnt guard him in 96 either, when he put up 27 ppg on 64% FG in the ECFs against the 96 Bulls, so them dismissing the team with an even better version of Shaq with a better roster around him who swept everyone they played (outside of Iverson's classic 1 game performance), is crazy to me.

they won the fukkin title in their FIRST YEAR together. you think its easy to get enough chemistry to win it all in one season ? they had to adjust for playoff basketball. they went to 7 with the hawks and cavs, then beat the pistons and lakers relatively easy
