he still uses FL too. He mixes it up a lot.

FWIW I bet most people (including myself) can't tell the difference. He offered to pay people a hundred bucks to guess the 5 MPC beats he did out of the 13 joints on The Formula and nobody guessed all 5 right.

This my problem with some of the new artists with the under 2 min tracks. I am thinking about The Roots “Illadelph half-life” clocking at 80 minutes back in 1996 and these indie artists are trying to sell me a 21 min album. Nah, I am good.

Not mad at this. And I actually really love short projects, but if it's under 30 mins, then bill it as an EP and not a full album. I don't like when it's labeled as a full album and it's 20 minutes long.

Agreed. To be honest whether fair or not....if I see an album has a lot of these, I don't even bother giving it a listen. When it comes to albums, good ones anyway....I'm listening for an experience. It sucks when by the time its really hitting, its over.

That is my problem too, when I start to get in to the project it's over with. If the album is good you definitely want more.

Most recording artists haven't figured out the nuance of making the listener feel fulfilled while at the same time wanting more. They either overkill the project with filler, or the project is too short. Very few have mastered this.
