over a call, a punch which killed the referree, has a plea deal to be charged as a juvenile. Its interesting how these articles are written in these situations.

"
But Sleight says the boy is a good kid who excelled in school and simply made one horrible mistake. He told the judge that the teen comes from a hard-working, stable family who has lived in Utah for 20 years. He pointed out that the boy turned himself into police following the incident.
Judge Hornak denied the request for him to go home in the June hearing, saying she's impressed by the boy's academic record, lack of violent history and strong family dynamic............."

"
The teen's sister read a written apology following that hearing, marking the first and only time the family has spoken in a public setting about the incident.
"We want to tell the Portillo family how sorry we are and how horrible we all feel about what has happened here,'' the young woman that day, crying. "We cannot imagine how much you must miss your father and we hope you can find peace.''

Anyone want to take a guess what race the good kid that excelled in school is?

Do you think he should be charged as a juvenille or adult? Which do u think he will be?

If you're not old enough to vote, buy cigarettes, or do certain shyt by law without parents approval, then no, you should NOT be tried as an adult.

They withheld his name?

thats crazy to me cause ive seen mad juveniles names posted in the paper here

"We do review unusual situations and although we have the right by law to report the names of those individuals under age, we take those cases into consideration as to the pertinence of the story to our readers,” said Globe Gazette Publisher Howard Query.
“Would we necessarily use the name of a 10-year-old charged in a crime? No,” said Jane Reynolds, city editor of the Globe Gazette. “We have the legal right to, but the decision would be made by our editorial team based on the severity of the crime and circumstance.
“However, in the vast majority of cases, young offenders’ names are published in our news stories.”

apparently homocide isnt severe enough to include a a name

he should be charged as an adult for two reasons.

-he hit a referee. he intended to hurt the guy when he punched him. his ass should have thought about that before he swung on him. i understand if it was a 16 or a 15 year old BUT 17... naw, man.

-he tried to flee from the incident. his father should be charged too.

apologizing in a damn letter doesn't mean shyt because chances are he'll do it again.

don't think he did BUT his ass shouldn't have attacked him to begin with. the fact that his father and him actually FLED instead of being there and etc shows that they both didn't care about what happened to the man afterwards. it's too late to write a letter saying he's sorry because he's not. if he wants to be sorry, he should accept the punishment for the crime. do some prison time if you're really sorry.

the same thing usually gets said by black people/parents when something like this happens though. There is always parents/people etc. saying how much of a good person so and so was, only difference is with black ppl nobody believe that shyt :russ:

should be charged as an adult with some type of manslaughter or something i doubt he knew he was going to kill the guy over a punch.

double post/edit fukery
