As a part time bouncer if me and a patron get into a physical altercation and I knock him to the ground in order for me to keep self defense I must not touch him, threaten him verbally or physically and must back away. I can't even say that's what you get.

Now if he gets back up and wants to come at me or reaches for something I still must use proper self defence until police arrive.
