Who defines what's hiphop? Paid in full wasn't hiphop when it dropped, It defined hiphop. Chronic wasn't hiphop when it dropped, it defined it. Skinny jeans was hiphop before baggy jeans, yet we have people saying skinny jeans is not hiphop. Making Cali swag district dance songs was hiphop before street shyt was hiphop and on. shyt is dynamic.

Asap is doing what he does, he came in the game like that. What's so "odd" about fukking with fashion and not following the mainstream (aka being a hipster to some), are you telling me you haven't been to a major city? He's a young cocky Harlem dude like most rappers that came from that place, people have been saying that they were the "first" with mad trends since forever.

Also I don't know if hiphop was created to compete, if it was.. It was to compete against other through making better music, not through battling each other. That's just one factor, you've not got to dabble in every single one to be hiphop. You don't have to breakdance, graffiti or dj to be hiphop.

Kendrick is this mans friend, people making shyt bigger than it is. Smart move by Kendrick, he knows his acquaintances ain't gonna catch feelings over him saying he wants to take their fans. It was all calculated which is why he chose to quote Kurupt to "diss" New York incase he gets called out.

In regard to the fashion... I believe Ferg has an endorsement deal with BAPE (his own line of Hoodies) So that would probably explain why he's rockin wit dat in 2013... LOL.. and to be fair.. I think thats kinda their thing anyway.. They take throwback looks from each region... ie... The Bone nappy braided bone look, the Biggie and puff silk versace shirts and glasses... he came in the game sounding like a long lost bone member from houston..if he didn't say he was from harlem, i wouldn't have never guessed it..maybe thats some new harlem swag thou idk..and hiphop & fashion go hand n hand for the most part, but we always put our own touch to the shyt..and i just don't see it from these dudes

Personally, I prefer A$AP over TDE, don't get me wrong, TDE as mc's > A$AP, but Rocky captivates me than Kendrick, he's more charismatic and has a better presence on songs.
