I live in NYC as well and what song is it that u speak of getting steady airplay?? Maybe IM not listening to the same station. IM not talking about DJ's playing his songs during their mix sets...IM talking about in rotation. This is his home town so if he's getting this little spins here imagine elsewhere.

The label was ready to roll on 9/11/12 when they dropped "Goldie" but it got luke warm reaction so it's back to the drawing board. The label needs to see spins bc having a following on the internet doesn't mean people are gonna buy the album. Labels don't wanna just drop albums so u can continue to sell out your shows and make a living while they end up fitting the bill bc u didn't sell records. That is unless they got u on a 360 deal in which part they gonna :eat: off everything including shows...being that he had alil buzz when he signed (or so they say) probably means he had leverage enough to not have to sign a 360 deal. So the record label wants to position him in the best possible way b4 they drop that album.

Again if it's just samples issues why is he dropping a mixtape?? Normally u drop a mixtape for buzz! Especially when u drop one right b4 the album it's bc u had enough cutting room floor material and songs u couldn't get clearances for to fill up a mixtape.

Im pretty sure Rocky got a 360 bruh.

I'm starting to wonder how much these pre-album mixtapes help these rappers "buzz".

In most cases the mixtape ends up being better than the album which make me less likely to buy your album if you just gave me BETTER music a month ago for free.

But in ASAP's case where his buzz is kinda so so, he may need to get his name out there.

Seems like he wasted all the buzz he had from that LiveLongA$ap he dropped last year

I thought Goldie was cool. fukking Problem is dope but why make the title and hook so explict when you got all those big name features on the track? That seemed like a waste.

These songs getting spins :usure:

Peso did get acouple spins b4 the summer.

fukking Problem is not in rotation yet, just played by DJ's...

Notice the "single" Goldie isn't mentioned....which is really what is concerns the label. Their artist + the "it" producer right now = lukewarm response.

Again I like Rocky, I want the album to drop...IM waiting for new music from him. All Im saying is it's not sample issue's thats the hold up.
