No one has any obligation to be a social activist, you only have one life live it the way you wanna.

There is something in between being a political/social activist and not giving a fukk if people die in the street. we don't all have the ability or obligation to devote our entire lives, but we do have the obligation to at least care that innocent people are murdered without justice. It's called having a conscience and not being a devil.
