I shunned it @ first and never gave it a chance cuz his subject matter is weak, his flows cliche, and his delivery subpar, I just didn't get the appeal. But recently, I gave the album another spin and I gotta say :whew:

Even though it suffers from sequencing issues (its not good enough to be 12 tracks long and it has 2 outro's in Phoenix & Suddenly), the album has something for everybody.

You got experimental tracks like "Wild For The Night", "I Come Apart", and "Fashion Killa" that appeal to his hipster fanbase, the Clams Casino sound with "LVL" and "Hell", the classic A$AP sounds (LongLiveA$AP, Ghetto Symphony, Jodye, Goldie), something for the radio (fukkin' Problems), and something for the hip hop heads (1Train & Suddenly). :salute:

A very consistent album overall :ehh: Just get rid of like 2 or 3 verses from 1Train

If you feel like he's a shytty rapper, you've got to appreciate the way he rides a beat :manny: He's like Schoolboy Q infused with Danny Brown and a sprinkle of Lil' Wayne

If you're still a critic, I recommend you replay it again in this sequence:
1. Suddenly
2. Jodye
3. LongLiveA$AP
4. Goldie
5. PMW
6. Ghetto Symphony
7. Angels
8. LVL
9. Hell
10. Pain
11. fukkin' Problems
12. 1Train
13. Fashion Killa
14. I Come Apart
15. Phoenix

I bump it up from a 3/5 to a 3.9/5

What's crazy is I feel the exact opposite....at first it was nice, but now that I've went back and listened again I think it's really nothing special

It grew on me too. There are some songs that I just can't listen to though. LVL, Suddenly, Phoenix, Hell, 1 Train are bangers the rest is average or trash IMO.

Lyrically A$AP killed Suddenly.

I tried, I couldn't get into it. Kid isn't trash like I thought he was but his sound ain't my lane

Play it in the whip :shaq: It'll change your whole outlook

I could understand why you don't enjoy his sound but that's really something that has to grow on you. His lyrics and rapping are pretty boring and it doesn't compliment the slow moody beats so I can see where you're coming from.

none of that changed on your second listen.

Oh but it did
I got used to his delivery and even though I've heard all his flows before, they're still enjoyable and got a nice groove to it. Can't change what he's rapping about and how lyrical he is though :yeshrug:

I heard fashin killa on the radio the other day, and made me check who it was... i was like damn, between this, 1 train, and fukkin problems...maybe i should check for dude...anyone got a link?

I'll PM you the deluxe version w/ the tracklisting I wrote in the first post when I finish uploading

Kinda the opposite for me. It's still good just not as good as I thought initially still a solid debut tho.

I'll check out OPs tracklist.
