This album is flames. OMG, he nailed this sh1t. I listened to it last nite after drinking a lil bit and it was hot. I'm at work right now with a clear head and this sh1t is fire. Cot Dayum he nailed this album. I'll be honest with you, I know it's a bit early to say, but I dig this more than GKMC. I'm leaning towards this being AOTY.
Regardless, this has been a very good year for Hip Hop. Life Is Good, Good Kid Maad City, Stoned Immaculate, God Forgives, etc.. This has been a stellar year for Hip Hop. You know how they say the economic policies of a President's administration usually takes a few years to really notice? I feel like Nas saying Hip Hop is Dead sparked a fire under this industry's azz and we're reaping the benefits right now.
edit: just realized this isn't dropping until 2013, misunderstood you. This is gonna be a hard album to top in 2013. I don't know what other albums are tentative for next year, but this is definately the forerunner and raising the bar.
