Its a start, creating an OS from scratch isnt easy, but with this being android chances are it probably will never get software updates and probably runs like crap. But like i said it is a start. If you got the money these chinese labs will make anything you want. The tough thing about mobile apps is it is so far along that coming out with a new OS is pretty much gaurenteed to flop so android is your only choice since it is open source.

phone has an interesting concept but that part was a little silly. quite a few phones with dual SIM-cards.

either way, i wish them success just off the fact they're trying to bring innovation to the mainstream of their industry.

I believe there are already a few african cellphone manufacturers, the issue with these just boils down they dont have the resources to afford the top quality hardware and chips for their devices, the good thing is tech has improved so much that from a performance standpoint the newer budet processors are pretty decent but still build quality is suspect.

What I would want to see is actual manufacturing plants start up in Africa since all of the raw materials are sourced from countries there, but then you have the lack of infrastructure which is why the chinese dominate.
