Massachusetts tends to elect Republican governors from time to time. It gives off an illusion of balance since all other state politics are dominated by Democrats. It’s a way to provide checks and balances (in their heads anyway). But they are largely moderates. Especially by today’s standards. Charlie Baker would be a democrat in any other state. Republicans call him “Tall Deval (Patrick)”.
The next MA governor will 110% be a democrat.
Also, Maryland and Massachusetts would never elect a Trump like Governor.

Not sure how much stock I would take here. Goucher College is likely mostly young people. There are tons of old racist cacs out in the sticks and outside the Baltimore Metro area. They elected that fakkit Hoegan

They're probably the best pollster in the state.
That's not very clear. Still, like I said, there are tons of old racist cacs out in those off brand counties people forget exist, and they elected Hoegan.

Hogan beat Ben Jealous and Anthony Brown cause he was able to cut the margins in MoCo, PG County… and do well in Howard County and Anne Arundel
Those cacs across the Eastern Shore and Western MD are not enough.

I think I saw some stats that claimed that Hogan got 30% of the black vote when he ran against Ben Jealous.
Speaking of Ben I was actually more excited about him being governor than I am with Wes Moore
