It won't change anything, it'd still come down to the last minute regardless. Everybody is playing a game of chicken trying to squeeze out any extra assets they can out of a deal before finally pulling the trigger at the last minute.

What I really dont get is why teams wait until the last fukking day down to the minute to do something.


They need to make the trade deadline a window, like one week during the season you can do trades. Teams would have more urgency to pull off a trade and instead of trade "deadline" we'd be talking about trade week.

They ask for the moon then panic at the last second
