9:56pm: Philadelphia would insist on receiving a player at a different position of equal talent to Okafor if a trade is to happen, a source told Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer.

9:25pm: The Heat could be a possible trading partner, Moore writes in a full story, citing a report from Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald that the team expressed interest in Okafor earlier this season. A source tells Moore that coach Brett Brown has encountered difficulty in trying to blend Okafor and Noel, who are both natural back-to-the-basket big men. “I can’t really control what’s going to happen,” Okafor said today about trade rumors. Two sources also told Moore that teams interested in making deals with the Sixers are now contacting Colangelo, rather than GM Sam Hinkie.

Winslow for Okafor

Ainge needs to make this happen

Well you don't know if he will stay, that's always there being a factor

Boston can wait till the draft to make moves with their picks. What if Blake is on the table this summer like some think? Boston could load them up with some young talent to retool on the fly with DJ and the end of CP3s career

and correct me if Im wrong, but can't Boston try to sign Horford outright this summer if they really wanted him that bad?

and Stevens isn't going anywhere, they have done nothing but collect assets and steadily improved since he got there. It's a good situation for everyone right now

That is predicated on what the Clippers do in the off season. If they make the WCF, a long shot since they would have to beat a team in the 2nd round they can't seem to beat, then no way is Doc trading anyone he is going to run that back because then they are really knocking on the door to a title.

If that doesn't happen then I think you are right. I think Boston becomes the number one place they send Blake. I think Ainge gives Doc 3 first rounders...or if not on draft night he just has something set up where he draft the guys doc wants and then they sign and trade for blake.

I actually kind of fell the opposite on Stevens. Dude is a good coach. REALLY good coach. If we factor in the talent of teams I got him as the 2nd best coach in the league behind Pop. A guy that good is not going to be happy with just winnnig 40 - 45 games a year and losing in the 1st round every year, which is exactly what Boston does if they don't get a star, and they are not getting a star unless they come up off those draft picks. He is in what...the 3rd year of a six year deal, so some time is left, and with all the fukkery going on in the NBA anything can happen in those 3 years. What if Gentry is out next year and New Orleans starts calling him to come coach Anthony Davis? Hell what if he gets impatient with the rebuild and sees what Stan has done in Detriot and says I want to make some personal decisions?

Sure they could sign Al Horford in the offseason. But who was the last nba all star player the celtics signed? I feel like they are going to have to use the draft picks to get a star and then another star will come, since he knows one is already waiting in the wings.

It's just :dead: that currently the Boston Celtics have 1/8th of the picks in the NBA draft. That is enough for the Celtics to have their own draft show:bryan:

:lolbron: At this Okafor talk starting to surface:lolbron:

Seems like somebody doesn't trust the process:lolbron:...seems like the process has changed:lolbron:

@Malta is this the sign that Embiid is healthy :lupe:

He was supposed to be a spur in 2 years when the 76ers dump him for nothing because they are the 76ers though :mjcry::sadbron:

To me this is Hinkie being Hinkie

Someone of us have said this would happen earlier this year just looking at Okafor's on/off numbers. They would trade okafor before people realized that you can't win with him.....He's a center that can't play defense or rebound the ball.

It's been obvious since day one when you look at how he flipped MCW.

If the Sixers trade Okafor. :dead:

If they trade him cause they know Embiid is healthy then I can't really blame them...between Noel Embiid and Okafor somebody got to go at some point...you would think they would wait until his stock was higher...

Dude must have been on some more fight club shyt :lolbron:

If these mufukkas trade Okafor to Boston for those first round picks and then draft another big man.fukking draft Poetl or Rabb or somebody like that :lolbron:

We won't trade the Brooklyn pick for him and we aren't giving up the farm for someone who we aren't sure will be on the team next year...

They don't view horford as a $30 million dollar player

Basically Danny trying to get them to lower their price
This shyt been over weeks ago. This was all for clicks. Atlanta wanted your franchise and y'all wanted him for free. Now y'all trying to talk shyt.

I wouldn't put it pass them to make a trade for Rubio. Colangelo called and offered us a good deal but we were looking for picks or prospects. They will pay for a PG.

Somethings you can just see right away....

I know he's 19 years old but I think he's cut from the same cloth as Al Jefferson or Greg Monroe.

If your eyes and analytics match (& to me they do) it's better to get value for him before everyone else realizes (just like MCW.

i dunno how you're gonna give up on your star rookie big man so quick. you really think your eyes and the analytics have already determined his future after only 50 games in league? :francis:
