Some of you cats put an incredible overvalue on late round draft picks. The Clippers losing a draft pick to upgrade their roster in an attempt to go for a title this season isn't a loss for them at all, especially seeing as Doc doesn't have much use for rookies anyway.
Smart teams find value in those slots. They're not the be all end all, but there's always diamonds in the rough every draft.

I don't want to live in a universe where Doc is the GM and Coach of the clippers. Only good thing he does is draw up plays. He can't play proper rotations, he continues to try and trade starters, and can't build a bench for chit.

Now that this is over the Pelicans need to go ahead & buy out Perk so he can come back to yell shyt about defense from our bench :manny:

I'm sure Presti will give Fisher a call & see if he's interested in another run though :merchant:

That's great but if you're not gonna draft/use those guys then the pick isn't that valuable to your franchise. A first round pick doesn't hold that much value to be Clippers especially seeing as they feel right now is their opportunity to win a title. Losing a late round pick for an upgrade, even if it is marginal, is worth it to them, especially for a player who their coach obviously has extreme faith in.

MAKES NO SENSE THAT THESE HEADLINE TRADES DONT GET THEIR OWN HEADLINES ON THE COLI.... TO MERGE EVERY TRADE THREAD THAT DESERVES ITS OWN HEADLINE INTO ONE MEGA THREAD IS COUNTER-PRODUCTIVE. IF ITS A RUMOR OR JUST CHATTER, FINE, KEEP IT IN THE MEGA THREAD.... BUT A FINALIZED TRADE NEEDS ITS OWN TOPIC SO PEOPLE DONT HAVE TO DIG THROUGH A 20,000 PAGE THREAD TO SEE WHATS GOIN ON.....ESPECIALLY ONCE IT HITS THE FEATURED THREADS, IT LETS THE CASUAL FANS SEE WHATS GOIN ON.......

THAT SAID, GREAT TRADE FOR THE CLIPPERS, DIDN'T THINK DOC HAD IT IN HIM......

LIKE I SAID IN THE OTHER THREAD, THESE HEADLINE TRADES NEED THEIR OWN THREADS. TOPICS BIG ENOUGH TO DISCUSS ON THEIR OWN DO NOT NEED TO BE MOVED TO A 20,000 PAGE MEGA THREAD.....THE HEADLINE IS WHAT CATCHES THE ATTENTION OF THE CASUAL FANS, WHO MAY NOT WANT TO DIG THROUGH A SHIITLOAD OF PAGES TO FIND OUT ABOUT OR DISCUSS A TRADE THAT MAY CHANGE THE TRAJECTORY OF THE NBA SEASON......

THAT SAID, WIZARDS BOUT 2 EAT OUT EAST........

Sources: Suns trade Markieff Morris to Wizards
