Get these Giants outta hereSports section here is influenced by dudes being raised by 24/7 sports talking heads saying anything to fill up time on all those sports centered tv and radio shows.
People say irrelevant hot takes just to be saying them.
Anthony Mason had better handles than a lot of point guards in the 90’s himself.Sounds like the something that casual moron @Gil Scott-Heroin would say He doesn’t even have better handle than Anthony Mason
CACanadaHe is whether you agree with him or not
no u stink dont know shytHe isn’t wrong.
If you’re talking about HANDLES, and not talking about court vision or passing skills (where 80s and 90s PGs excelled), the turning point was Isiah Thomas and subsequently iverson.
Before Isiah nba pgs would either dribble up like this
Or be stationary and look for a pass in the key like this
Isiah Thomas was out here like this though
Between him and iverson you had some other guys showing it like hardaway, mark jackson and rod strickland…but until zeke and iverson bringing streetball guard skills to the nba, there wasn’t notable ball handling skills before that in guards.
There were supreme outliers like CHRIS WEBBER, derrick coleman, and KG, but no big men had handles at all like this era either.
The quote isnt as farfetched as OP is making kt.

I simply disagree with this . Keep it to handles and you’re right. Speaking on court vision you’re buggin.Bam court vision is better than a lot of point guards in the 90’s.
As a big man in this era he’s averaged 5-6 assists a season mostly off high post reads, short roll passing, dribble hand offs. Boy is a big ass point guard fr.
Yeah, there were a lot of point guards who can handle and dish but their were also point guards who were basic and were trusted to throw post entry passes, initiate motion when they past half court, just set the table. Point guards who were used off-ball as shooters mostly and didn’t play-make much.
I don’t expect the geriatrics here to agree.
I never said he was a “superstar”.@ISO is a good basketball poster but he thinks Jimmy Butler is a superstar franchise lead dog
